The Bright Start Stage 1 Reading and Writing Toolkit contains a series of reading books, associated word games, Activity Books with colouring pages and word-matching activities plus a comprehensive, step by step guide at each stage which gives clear instructions for using the materials. Stage 1 outlines the way in which a child learns to read together with the common pitfalls.

The Reading and Writing Toolkit is designed in stages; with clearly defined outcomes for each stage. By the end of Stage 1, your child should have a sight vocabulary of approximately 60 words and be able to handle a book by himself.

The Bright Start Stage 2 Reading and Writing Toolkit contains a series of reading books, associated word games, Activity Books with colouring pages and word-matching activities plus a comprehensive, step by step guide at each stage which gives clear instructions for using the materials. Stage 2 has instructions for use for the parent and further notes on how children learn to read.

Stage 2 introduces the child to basic writing skills through colouring and dot-to-dot activities to help hand/eye coordination.

The Reading and Writing Toolkit is designed in stages; with clearly defined outcomes for each stage. By the end of Stage 2, your child should have a sight vocabulary of approximately 120 words and be able to handle a book by himself.
